Hey! We are just a couple of 9th grade students doing a school project on
the Holocaust and similar events to it. We just recently finished reading the
book 'Night' by Elie Wiesel, which is about his experiences through the
Holocaust and what he had to do to survive through it. After reading the
book, we are now looking into modern topis that have some similarities
to other events in history. The topic that we are looking at is
racism and sexism in the world today and other times in
history. We will occasionally be posting artifacts on the
subject and you can take a look at them to learn a little more about it.
There will be four different categories that our
artifacts we will be making will come from. The four categories are
Informative, Personal, Evaluation, and How To. With the Informative
category we will be presenting facts, not opinions. For the Personal category,
we will be trying to represent how people who have went through this or are
going through this feel about it. In the Evaluation category we will be
comparing and contrasting the patterns of both the Holocaust and our topic. For the How To category we will be explaining how we can make a change, how to help people who have suffered from racism and sexism, and how to help prevent this from happening in the future.
